June 6th, 2007 — ddelmoliSo, recently I’ve switched from Bloglines to Google Reader for my daily feed fix. I switched for 2 reasons:
- Better mobile access
- Better handling of high-volume feeds or feeds I read infrequently
I got tired of waiting for Bloglines to load up a 100+ item feed, especially on my phone.
I also like Google Reader’s ability to share items, and so I’ve added a new feature to this blog — on the right-hand side you can see links to posts on other blogs from around the web which make up a kind of “best-of” from my daily reading.
Enjoy!

Weird, I have excellent mobile access to bloglines. And the only thing about high-volume feed is that bloglines stops at 200 when you haven’t read a certain feed for a couple of days.
Mobile access is dire on trains, but that will be the same with both Google and Bloglines. Anyway, have fun with Google reader.

Oh, the access is fine — and I like the clippings. But feeds with lots of pictures (Gizmodo, Engadget) take far too long to load.
